Katherine Busser is an Executive Vice President at Capital One, a Fortune 200 company headquartered in McLean, Virginia and one of the 10 largest banks in the United States based on deposits. As head of Capital One's credit-card infrastructure division, Ms. Busser is responsible for helping set the strategy for its infrastructure, including risk operations, technology, and risk management. She oversees collections and recoveries, and is the chief risk officer for national lending, which includes U.S. credit cards, automobile lending and global financial services.

Ms. Busser is an active member in the community, with a diverse set of interests that range from civic leadership to early childhood education.  Some of her community activities include:  Chairwoman of the Greater Richmond Chamber, Virginia Bankers Association, Greater Richmond Partnership of Virginia, and appointment by Virginia Governor Tim Kaine to chair his Start Strong Council. Ms. Busser also serves as a Board member with the United Way, Junior Achievement, Virginia Early Childhood Foundation, Virginia State University and the YWCA.  She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Virginia, and resides in Richmond, Virginia with her husband and two children.

We are working to increase membership by 25 percent through a new initiative to educate Virginians about the importance of having a fresh and secure local food supply. The company is working hard to make sure farming remains a viable industry so we don’t have to depend on food from foreign countries.
